In 2007, she began to explore other, more plastic mediums.. Paper mache masks and sculptures have been a vehicle to express some emotional ideas that do not lend themselves as well to the precision of an oil painting.
The artist has a special fondness for painting domestic animals, and their relationships to us.

Current Activities:
The artist currently works from her private studio in Plymouth,Michigan. She continues to create commissions for both businesses and private collections and is active in submitting her work to juried fine arts exhibits and shows. Background and Influences:
Ms. de Géry has been a life long painter and sketcher. In the mid seventies, she studied art at the University of California Santa Cruz and the Art Institute of Chicago. Her early works were almost exclusively figurative.
Dominique grew up retouching her father's professional photographs. This gave her the training and the eye for contrast and soft shadows. This also influenced her approach to
