"Through my volunteer social work I sometimes encounter people who have experienced deep emotional and/or physical abuse.  In order to be 'available' to them I occasionally needed to exorcise the intensity of their stories from my mind.  The development of these sculptures brought the victims, and myself, a certain comfort and equilibrium.  Being 'heard' can be very powerful and healing."       Dominique Chastenet de Géry, artist
